BECOME A PATENT PATHWAYS® MENTOR AND BE THE CHANGE TODAY!

Company name, law firm name, university name, etc. where you currently work
This includes on our website, across Patent Pathways® and Harrity social media channels, and in similar mediums in association with the Patent Pathways® program with the sole purpose of recognizing you as a mentor.

A member of our Mentoring Committee will be in touch shortly to discuss the next steps! Our next program will begin June 2024.

WE NEED YOU!

We’re looking for patent professionals who are passionate about increasing diversity and representation in the patent field to mentor for our upcoming Patent Pathways® program!

Each of our 50 participants will be assigned one law firm mentor and one in-house mentor, in order to provide multiple perspectives and expertise for a successful career in patent law. Mentors set up sessions with their mentees based on their own schedules and availability.

MENTOR REQUIREMENTS

The only requirements for Patent Pathways® Mentors are to be located in the United States, familiar with United States patent laws, and have experience practicing patent law as a patent attorney, patent agent, or technical specialist. Registration with the USPTO is a plus, but not required, as long as you have the equivalent working experience.

WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT TO MENTOR FOR THIS PROGRAM?

The program is approximately 9 months long. Mentoring duties will vary during each phase of the program, and mentors have the flexibility to schedule their sessions according to their availability. To learn more about mentor expectations, click HERE.

Contributing to Patent Pathways® helps us provide free education, practical exercises, and full financial support for patent bar expenses to register each participant with the USPTO and begin their careers in patent law. Future iterations will focus on other underrepresented demographics, but we need your help to get there!
